Heads-Up 3-Up (Review Week)

Singing Time: Follow the Prophet (C.S. #110)

We are going to learn the last verse of "Follow the Prophet" today. After learning the verse, we are going to play a game called "Heads-Up 3-Up" to review all of the verses in the song. I will pick 3 names of children to come up to start the game and will assign each of them a prophet. All of the children will be instructed to put their heads down, close their eyes, and put their thumbs up. The "prophets" will go around and each gently touch 1 child's thumb. If a child's thumb is chosen, they must tuck their thumb into their hand so that the other prophets know they have been chosen.

When all prophets have selected a child, they will return to the front of the room and hold the name of the prophet in front of them. When I announce "Heads-Up 3-Up,“ the 3 kids that were chosen will stand up. Each child will have the chance to guess which prophet chose them. All the children that guess correctly will get to switch places with the prophets. The first prophet that is correctly chosen will be the prophet we sing about before starting another round.
