This week we will be practicing for the Mother's Day presentation for next week. Let the kids know that for the presentation, they are going to sing "Mother, I Love You" first, and then "A Child's Prayer" second. I am going to be out of town next week, so Collette Johnson will be leading the kids in Sacrament. Here is the lesson for this week:

Go through both songs 2 times with the kids and then you can play the game. If you notice that they are struggling with one song over the other, use that song more often in the game. For Jr. Primary, have them sing "A Child's Prayer" with the teachers (the teachers will sing the 2nd verse). For Sr. Primary, have them sing "A Child's Prayer" with Lynne Jones, Thelissa Blackhurst, and Wendy Broschinsky (the "moms" will sing the 2nd verse).

For the game, explain that you are going to write a word from 1 of the 2 songs that you have been learning on the whiteboard. Invite a child up and have them hold the whiteboard in front of their forehead so they cannot see. (** For Jr. Primary, you will want to send the child out in the hall so you can tell everyone what the word is.) Have the kids sing through the entire song, but not sing the word on the whiteboard. You may want to hold your finger to your mouth to help them remember when to not sing the word. The child holding the whiteboard will have to try to guess the word after everyone has finished singing the song.
